Avant-Garde is officially Georgia Tech's hautest new organization!!!

We have combined all artistic and creative minds to create a group that stands alone, that will innovate Georgia Tech's campus and Atlanta. Avant-Garde consists of several societies including: Arts, Beauty, Cosmopolitan, Design, Entertainment, Greater Arts, Style, Marketing, Philanthropy, and Fashion Design.

I believe this organization has been in my heart since freshmen year and has manifested itself the last semester of my senior year at Georgia Tech.

This blog will be the place to get the details on haute Avant-Garde events, Atlanta events, celebrity & style & music & art news and Everything else!

Our Story.

Avant-Garde was birthed from the heart of Tech Alumna Cindy. In December 2007, she sat in the BSO Office after finishing her last final and conversed with fellow students about life, school, and fashion. She began to talk about how she always wanted to create a fashion and arts organization, AG Alumni- Romanda Powers and Chanel Rogers were present and supported the idea. So over the Christmas holidays she created a detailed plan for this new organization-- she was excited!

On her first week back Cindy managed to gather over 30 interested pupils, secured an adviser-- Jackie Cox, and filled out the paperwork to make Avant-Garde an official organization.

With the help of friends she managed to get the word out and applications were turned in for those interested in executive positions. On February 19, 2008 Avant-Garde held its first official meeting. A dozen executive members were introduced and close to 102 potential members came out to learn more about Avant-Garde.
